Self-Assessment · Alcohol Use
Is drinking taking up more room in your life than you’d like?
A free, confidential 3-minute screening based on the AUDIT, the World Health Organization’s 10-question alcohol screening tool. Nothing you enter is stored or sent anywhere — your answers are scored right in your browser.
Talking it through with someone takes about ten minutes, is confidential, and doesn't commit you to anything.

It is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. Only a licensed clinician can diagnose an alcohol use disorder, and a high or low score here does not replace a professional evaluation. If you are in immediate danger or thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room.
What to do with your result
A screening score is a starting point, not a verdict. If your score was 8 or higher — or if drinking is affecting your health, relationships, work, or safety regardless of the number — the next step is a conversation with a clinician. At Forrest Behavioral Health that starts with a short, confidential call: we listen, check your insurance for free, and tell you plainly which level of care fits, whether that is our Intensive Outpatient Program, our Evening IOP built around work and family, or our Day Treatment Program.
One important note: if you drink heavily every day, stopping suddenly can be medically dangerous. Talk with a professional before making big changes on your own — we can help you figure out whether a supervised detox is needed first.
